We have a talented group! 太有才了!
I-Day 国际日

“When I went to Iday I had a lot of fun at the Norwegian camp. I made some new Finnish and Norwegian friends and I really like the song exchange. While marching to the German camp with the other camps, I almost lost my voice singing our camp songs! My good friend and counselor Huang Simao and I went around and ate tons of snacks that were strange but really good. At 4:00 Huang Simao taught me and some kids from other camps a dance that came from Sichuan, China. Our closing was very unique and everyone liked it. I also bought tons of souvenirs for my brothers and sisters. I can’t wait to come to Iday next year. I love CLV for giving me this experience. I also bought a cool hat. Welcome new villagers!
Today we welcomed 53 new villagers! It was an exciting day as both the staff and credit villagers greeted our new villagers at nine stations: the welcome table, nametag table, nurse station, placement testing, transportation, bank, customs, our activity table and the I-day dance station. After a fantastic dinner of rice, Chinese cabbage and pork Sen Lin Hu two-week villagers created a cabin cheer while four-week villagers made a remix of one of our camp songs. We ended the evening by sharing our cheers and songs everyone at the campfire. We are looking forward to a terrific two weeks!
Farewell
Today was the last full day with the two-week villagers. Sen Lin Hu credit villagers marked the send-off by presenting their ai qing gu shi (love drama) projects during the evening program. All the performances were very funny and well done– everyone was amazed at what the crediters were able to accomplish in such a short time. Our evening ended at the campfire where all the campers sang a song by Zhou Huajian called Pengyou (Friends). Both the counselors and the credit villagers will miss all of the two-week villagers– we hope to see you all again next year!
Sunday
Sunday is a fun day! Each jia (family) created a cheer and we then had an all camp soccer tournament. We all had a great time! The tournament ended with a face-off between the counselors and the villagers. After dinner we played a rousing game of capture the flag. The day ended with the 森(sēn) 林(lín) 湖(hú) Goodnight song led by Zhao Ben.
